Biarritz Information - South West France
The Pyrenees and Spain are so close that you can almost smell the Paella brewing on the other side of the boarder. We suggest crossing the boarder and going out in the beautiful Spanish town of San Sebastian with it's atmospheric cobble stoned street and pumpin' night life you want be sorry.
Biarritz is the most popular surf spot in Europe! Many surfers say the Biarritz is a ‘must surf destination’. The awesome waves and the bustling city with concerts and festivals, makes Biarritz the most unique surf destination that we offer.
This place is ideal for the advanced surfer, and there are many spots for the beginners as well. Surfing aside Biarritz and Bidart are perfect for just relaxing on the beach or chillin' in a cafe' it will stick on your memory forever. This former fishing village is situated between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Ocean. In the city you will find beautiful architecture, many casinos’, palaces and entertainment galore. On the bustling boulevard you will find many cafés, terraces and restaurants. Ahhh, treat your self to a frozen Margarita on an outside terrace with the sea breeze through ya hair and talking about the day with ya mates.
The international surf season is opened every year in Biarritz. It’s a fantastic spectacle to see all the colorful surfers on the ‘Beach of the Kings’ in front of Hotel du Palais. (the old villa of Eugenia de Montijo, the loved of Napoleon III)
There is always something to do in Biarritz, this town has a sparkling character. In June there are concerts on the beach, July a big festival with “Pelota Basque” competitions, a unique fast ball sport only played in this area. In the beginning of July is the famous Roxy Jam, a surf event with many of activities like live concerts, exhibitions and a surf comps. This is a long-board surf comp with the best woman in the world.
Another highlight is the “Fête de la Sainte Marie” in half August. There are fire works on the beach of Biarritz. The normal turn out for this event is 150.000 people! AWESOME!!!

Our Body Glove surfcamp, in camping grounds of "Municipal de la Plage", is not far from the beach. Within 10 minutes walking you are already with you feet in the sand and well on your way to get your first wave. You are not far from the center of Mimizan, where you will find more pubs, clubs and great hangouts.

As well as the Beach Chalet this year we are offering a luxury alternative in Mimizan. This means that after a day on the surf or a day on the beach, you can come home to your own Mobile Home. You can also join the fun and activities of the beach camp.

Surf camp Les Cigales
The Body Glove Breakloose surfcamp is in the camp grounds of" Camping Les Cigales": a very nice camping site. There are nice warm showers for free, they also have sport activities there as well as phoneboxes and a small supermarket.

If you want a bit more than a tent or a mobile home, you can book a luxuriously surfvilla. Perfect with a group of friends or a family. You can go surfing while your parents relax beside your own private swimming pool.

Mobile Home Cigales
You have the possibility to go for a more delux stay. The mobile home is 27m2 and the terrace of the mobile home is 12m2. You can park you car if you need at your own parking. The mobile homes sleep up to 6 people.

Natural Surfcamp
You will say in our guesthouse. The camp is a mix of kite- and golf surfers. Fuerte is the best place to learn how to surf. Not to mention how beautiful the surroundings are. This is the Canary Island!!!

This camp is run by WaveXperience and is situated in Vieux Boucau. Many surfers say that Vieux Boucau is a "must surf". The town is on the Atlantic Ocean and between Biarritz (50km) and Mimizan. Welcome on our Roxy Girls Camp in Mimizan! It’s gonna be a week of surfing, relaxing on the beach, meet new girlfriends, shopping and having a great time! You get surfcourse every day.
